NVF: How to achieve B-round funding

Vie Carratt took part in the Nordic Venture Forum (NVF) organised by Europe Unlimited in Copenhagen on 5 November. Our Director, David Carratt, moderated a discussion session on “How to achieve B-round funding?” which all panelists agreed is one of the most crucial and difficult rounds.

David Carratt summarised the conclusions of the panel discussion for us:

“Although the market is showing signs of recovery, the demands from investors are tougher than ever so young businesses really need to prepare for B-round funding immediately. This is the round where you need to prove that your business model really works. Sales metrics to prove that you are able grow and expand internationally really matter. Other key things are your management team and being in a fashionable market like SaaS. Most important is the impression that the founders make when meeting investors. Qualities such as the ability to listen and being ambitious are a must-have!”.

The NVF was closed by keynote speaker, Ulrik Bo Larsen, Founder and CEO of our client, Falcon Social. They were shortlisted in last year’s edition and made it to the European Venture Summit where they were selected as one of the top four. Ulrik recalled in front of the audience the great moments the company has lived as it grew from 4 to 93 people in just 18 months.

The NVF forum is an great opportunity for the most promising Internet and Technology entrepreneurs from the Nordic and Baltic regions to meet and present themselves to active international investors and corporations seeking investment and partnership opportunities.
